Here at Blossoms we have opened a library for each room to encourage early reading and to share precious experiences.

It is never too soon to start sharing stories and rhymes with your child- very young babies really benefit from sharing books. Books open a magical world, sparking imagination and fuelling creativity, emotions and curiosity. Reading with your child every day gives them the best possible start to life. Using Blossoms library and choosing a book with your child is one of the most pleasurable experiences and is such a powerful learning experience.

Children who have had the opportunity to share books from an early age do better at school as sharing books inspire a positive attitude to learning which lasts a lifetime! Children benefit not only educationally, but culturally, socially and emotionally too from sharing books and the relationships between a parent and child is strengthened through sharing books together.

The joy of sharing books encourages children to develop their literacy skills as they develop a love of books., stories and rhymes. Their communication and listening skills develop as they look at pictures, listen to stories, talk

Its never too soon to start reading a story with your child as part of their bath time and bedtime routine. Babies are soothed by the sound of your voice and, as children get older, a good bedtime routine helps children settle down and get off to sleep.

As your child grows, this precious, quiet time together at the end of the day helps to build a bond with your child as well as developing their imagination, listening skills and provides an opportunity to share information, news or any worries your child may have.
