Welcome to Blossoms Day Nursery

Field View, Burn

Field View is a 116 place nursery based in Burn, sitting near Selby Canal in Brayton, which the children regularly go for nature walks down, identify a range of wildlife and their habitats. Field View opened due to such high demand at our first setting in Hambleton, we wanted to provide more opportunities for children to enjoy their journey of learning through Blossoms, experiencing high-quality childcare in our ‘highly child-focused, nurturing setting’ as quoted by Ofsted.

Just as our other setting, the nursery operates from four rooms; a baby room, an infant room, a toddler room and a pre-school room. Each room will consist of pathways for children to browse their environment at their own leisure, however carefully designed by us to ensure that when a child is browsing their environment they are still learning within every area of the room.

The location of Field View is unique, surrounded by fields of horses, offering a large outdoor space for the children to learn and explore in their natural environment. The outdoor area includes; a recently renovated high-quality resin bound rubber crumb baby/infant area with a designated black and white area and sensory garden, a mud kitchen including a water pumping station, play areas with a rainbow tunnel and balancing blocks, natural storytelling area including a bug hotel, large road space for riding trikes, balance bikes and scooters, construction area with a variety of materials to explore, a gazebo providing a calming, shaded area of the garden for children to relax and engaged in focused activities, and a vegetable patch for children to grow their own food to taste and enjoy.
